You have a story worth telling - and with Responder Media, there's more than one way to tell it. While our Standard Packages allow you to write and publish a book, our Tribute Packages allow you to simply speak and tell us your stories, and we'll create a commemorative book or HD video.

I want to pay tribute to the life and influence of a role model, such as a fire or police chief, EMS personnel or co-worker.

Through conversations with a variety of people, we can help share multiple perspectives on the life of a single individual — either living or deceased — whose influence has been significant. This way, the span of their encouragement and inspiration can be celebrated among the community as well as passed along to others.

I want to record my unit or department’s history.

Through interviews with you and/or your co-workers, Responder Media’s Personal Historians can discover unheard stories. We’ll transform your history into a book or video keepsake that puts memories together in a way that can be appreciated by many. 

I want to pass along the experiences of my generation to younger workers in my field.

At Responder Media, we appreciate that the culture, technology and atmosphere of your time as a police enforcer, EMS worker or firefighter has provided you with experiences that define a unique set of values and knowledge. Through our print and video services, we’ll make tangible the life and career lessons that might otherwise be transient; your stories can be read or watched by current and future generations.

I want to honor a co-worker with a gift.

You can present a finished book or video keepsake as a gift to a co-worker as an honor to their work in your field. Responder Media gives you a way to say “thank you” for their service.

I want to conduct a fundraiser for my unit or department.

A Tribute Book or Video can be something treasured by your entire community. Increase funds for your organization by giving your community a glimpse inside the legacy and tradition of your unit or department by selling your book or playing your video at special events.

How it Works

We'll guide you every step of the way from the time you sign up for a Tribute Package, to the time you hold your Tribute Book or DVD in your hands. Here are the five simple steps:

  1. Discuss your project with a Responder Media Consultant. Our consultant can help you choose the right Tribute Book or Tribute Video package for your goals. You can speak with a consultant right away by calling 877-444-0235.
     
  2. Schedule and complete interviews. One of our Personal Historians and/or Videographers will conduct an interview to capture the stories from you or a group of people, depending on the package you choose.
     
  3. Gather photos and pre-recorded footage. For Tribute Books, you can provide photos to include in your book. Plus, you'll have a chance to review and approve the text gathered from your interview before we begin formatting or editing your book or video.
     
  4. Relax while we masterfully craft your book or video.  A team of skilled editors, video producers, designers, voice-actors and writers complete the behind-the-scenes work to produce your book or DVD.
     
  5. Receive your finished book or DVD. Four to six weeks after your final approval, you'll receive your final copies. You can order additional copies whenever you need them.
